As we said in our article about Brendan Fairclough's statement, judging an event like Rampage is a thankless job with no way to please everyone with the scoring. But this year especially, it's at times difficult to understand or justify the final scores. While the order of the top 3 is always going to be contentious, several of our editorial staff are shocked that Tom's run didn't land him on the podium.

While we don't know the reasoning from the judges for Tom van Steenbergen's 89.33 score after a run featuring the biggest frontflip drop in Rampage history, it is interesting to look back at last year’s winning run from Cam Zink which also prioritised just a few huge moves including a big flip drop.
